MESSAGE FROM BISHOP VÁSQUEZ  /  MENSAJE DEL OBISPO VÁSQUEZ  We are called to have faith in the risen Lord who will never leave us to face our challenges alone. His resurrection was not just a theological notion. It happened in the midst of the Church. All of the post-resurrection accounts in Scripture center on Christ appearing among us, even to the point of asking Thomas to touch his wounds. The very same thing happens to us each time we celebrate the Eucharist. Christ comes among us to live this life with and in each of us. May God grant us the courage and grace to preach the Gospel of Christ by what we say and in how we live each day.

 Estamos llamados a tener fe en el Señor resucitado quien nunca nos dejará solos frente a los retos. Su resurrección no fue solo una noción teológica. Sucedió en medio de la Iglesia. Todas las narraciones en la Escritura, posteriores a la resurrección, se centran en la aparición de Cristo entre nosotros, hasta el punto de pedirle a Tomás que toque sus heridas. Lo mismo nos sucede cada vez que celebramos la Eucaristía. Cristo viene a estar entre nosotros para vivir esta vida con todos y cada uno de nosotros. Que Dios nos conceda el valor y la gracia para predicar el Evangelio de Cristo por medio de lo que decimos y de cómo vivimos cada día.
